Christine Schmidt and Evan Gross

Christine Schmidt, founder of Yellow Owl Workshop, uses both ancient and modern printmaking techniques to craft heirloom paper goods and gifts. Notable for her sophisticated yet playful aesthetic, Christine’s line is distributed internationally from small independent-owned boutiques to museum stores and large retailers.  Her work has been featured by various media outlets, including Martha Stewart Weddings, The San Francisco Chronicle, Bust magazine, Dwell magazine, The Washington Post, and Design Sponge.  She is also the author of Print Workshop: Hand-Printing Techniques and Truly Original Projects.

Evan Gross, her husband, acts as her Gal Friday, handling the business side of Yellow Owl, including marketing, sales and accounting.
