This week we’re psyched to introduce you to Seattle’s Central Co-op! The folks behind Central Co-op are a motley cadre of cooperators with a spectrum of magical skills that support sustainable practices, community accountability, and the local food economy. They also happen to sell delicious food. But we wanted to find out more:

1) What makes Central Co-op different from other Seattle markets?

Central Co-op is unique as we are a thriving independent, urban natural foods grocery owned by greater than 10,000 community members. As well, we’re a not-for-profit, values-driven, union shop dedicated to social and environmental justice and pure food produced in ways that are respectful of the earth and its inhabitants.

2)  Why did you decide to partner with CCE?

We decided to support CCE because we love the idea of people coming together (cooperation!) to devise crafty ways to thrive in this mad, competitive world.
