Megan Reardon launched Not Martha in 2001 as a place to keep track of her many crafty projects. Since that time, the blog has garnered mentions from hundreds of heavily trafficked sites including Daily Candy, Fred Flare, Boing Boing, Apartment Therapy, and Metafilter, has been nominated for several Bloggie awards, and was named one of the Coolest Websites of 2006 by Time magazine.

Megan sewed opera costumes in Santa Fe, built corporate websites in San Francisco, and ran her own small knitting supplies business in her current home of Seattle, where she is a founding member of the Grassroots Business Association. She has published patterns in Knitty.com and in several knitting books, projects in ReadyMade and FamilyFun magazines, and has also blogged for ReadyMade and Design Sponge. She was a featured speaker at the recent Altitude Design Summit.

Megan tests her creations on her husband Scott LaPera. He prefers tasting food to modeling knitted wigs.
