Jamie Marie Chan is a college educator, fiber artist, and co-owner of Urban Fauna Studio. She is also founder of and director of the indie craft show Bazaar Bizarre San Francisco. Jamie produces her own line of fiber craft kits, teaches art to children, contributes to publications such as Craftzine, Indie Craft Gossip and was a founding member of the SF Craft Mafia. In 2008, she opened Urban Fauna Studio with Blas Herrera. The studio offers handmade and sustainable craft supplies. Because of its commitment to sustainable business practice, Urban Fauna Studio become the first fiber store to be certified as a SF Green Business. She has a commitment to increasing the profile of artists and makers in her local community. Jamie is co-founder of CCE, and lives in the Sunset District of San Francisco with her husband, a dog, two cats, two birds and a very fluffy bunny.
